How long does diesel mechanics training take in Uganda?
Most programs run between 6 weeks, depending on your learning speed and the training package. At Fern Engineering & Machinery Training, we offer flexible weekday and weekend options, including advanced engine rebuild training for those who want more depth.
Do I need any background to join?
No. This course is open to everyone whether you stopped in S.2, have a diploma in another field, or no formal education at all. You just need commitment and interest in hands-on learning. We’ll teach you from the ground up.
Is a certificate awarded after the course?
Yes. You’ll receive a Certificate of Competence on completion. This proves your skill level and helps you secure jobs with private garages, companies, and NGOs. You’ll also be trained on how to present yourself for interviews or tenders.
How much does diesel mechanic training cost in Uganda?
The course ranges from UGX 1.9M, and it includes advanced diagnostics and electrical modules. We offer payment plans and group discounts that favour everyone.
Are jobs available for diesel mechanics in Uganda?
